The Thrower Family
The Throwers came to Cedar City at the end of 2020 to help pastor and launch Refuge City Church. Matthew serves as the Lead Pastor of Teaching and Theology. Prior to Refuge City, Matthew was the founding and lead pastor of Refuge Point in West Point, GA for over 10 years. He and his wife, Merinda, have three kids and a dog. They love traveling, laughing at each other, and chilling. You can catch Matthew’s latest theological thoughts on his YouTube Channel.
The Busch Family
In July 2019, the Busches left the comfort of family and friends in Georgia and arrived in Cedar City, UT, excited to start a new ministry. Dan, Lead Pastor of Ministries and Leadership, is passionate about teaching God’s Word and equipping people for ministry. Dan and his wife, Carrie, love the outdoors and making music. On any given weekend, you might find them camping or hiking, except on Sunday mornings where they help lead worship for Refuge City.
The McGinnis Family
The McGinnis family - Robin, Heather, and their two children - moved to Cedar City, Utah in September of 2019 to help start Refuge City Church. Robin serves as the Lead Pastor of Worship. He is joined in ministry with his wife Heather. Together they have been leading worship for over a decade. In their free time they enjoy mountain biking, hiking and camping.
